How Teal providers support you
Providers are available virtually to support you throughout your at-home screening experience.
Virtual Intro Visit
Once you have registered with Teal and before we ship your screening kit, you will meet with a Teal provider for a brief 10-minute virtual Intro Visit. During the visit, the provider will review your screening history, discuss the at-home screening process, and prescribe the Teal Wand kit. You should then receive your kit within a week of completing your Intro Visit.
Available by Chat to Answer Questions
If questions arise at any time during the at-home screening experience, you can message our providers or medical support team.
Review and Communicate Test Results
All screening test results are reviewed by a Teal medical provider. Your results will be available in your Teal account about one week after mailing your sample to the lab. Your results will be accompanied by a written note from a Teal provider. They will explain your results and advise you on next steps or when to screen again.
Follow-up Virtual Visit and Referral Care
If your results are abnormal, our providers are available to advise on next steps. We will request that you schedule a virtual follow-up visit with a Teal provider. During the visit, you and the provider will discuss your results in the context of your screening history, and whether additional tests or treatments are needed. If additional steps are needed, a Teal provider will refer you to a local in-person provider.
āI began studying HPV self-testing as an improved alternative to the Pap in 2010. Nearly 15 years later, Iām so excited to finally be able to offer this in the US!ā
